Statement
I went to law school because I wanted to help people. My practice is
devoted to mediation and arbitration. Rather than advocate for a
specific client, I am an advocate for amicable solutions. It takes a
certain temperament and desire to help people through some of their
worst times. This same temperament and desire to help is what I will
bring as Superior Court judge.
Superior Court judge is non-partisan. I am independent. I will apply the
law to the facts of each case, regardless of who appears before me. I
have always tried to treat everyone with respect. I will bring that same
attitude--treating everyone equally and with respect.
Superior Court cases are about people. Whether loss of liberty in a
criminal case, breakup of a relationship in a family law matter, or loss
of financial livelihood in a contractual dispute, all cases are about
people. My mediation practice has sharpened my empathy and desire to
help people through difficult times.
I have the experience, academic record, and temperament to serve Walla
Walla County as a Superior Court judge. I will always work hard and
strive to be fair. I pledge to be a judge for everyone.
