Washington Supreme Court

Supreme Court justices are elected to six-year terms by voters throughout the entire state. There are nine Supreme Court justices, and Washington residents vote for three every two years. There are no Supreme Court elections in 2011. In 2012, the positions held by Tom Chambers, Susan Owens, and Gerry Alexander's appointed successor will be on the ballot.


 

Court of Appeals

Division Three, District Three

(Chelan, Douglas, Kittitas, Klickitat, and Yakima Counties)

District Three elects two judges; there will be no Court of Appeals elections in this district in 2011.


 

Superior Court

Superior Court judges are elected to four-year terms; they were elected in 2008, and their terms extend through the end of 2012. Vacant positions may appear on the 2011 ballot in some counties.


District Court

District Court judges are elected to four-year terms; they were elected in 2010, and their terms extend through the end of 2014.
