Division Two, District One
District One elects three judges; Positions 1 and 2 will be on the 2010 ballot.
Judge Marywave Van Deren is the Position 1 incumbent. She is running for re-election without opposition.
Judge Lisa Worswick was appointed to Position 2 in April 2010. She is running for re-election without opposition.
Most Superior Court judges were elected in 2008, and they will be up for election again in 2012.
Judges Elizabeth Martin and Edmund Murray were appointed to their positions by the Governor earlier this year. Because nobody filed against either of them, they received Certificates of Election after filing week. Their positions will not appear on the ballot.
District Court judges are elected to four-year terms, and all District Court positions are up for election in 2010.
The Position 2 race will appear on the
Primary ballot, with the top two candidates proceeding to the
ballot. In the other seven Positions, the incumbent judges are running for
re-election without opposition.
Tacoma Municipal Court
All Tacoma Municipal Court positions are up for election this year.
The following candidates (incumbents in bold) have filed.
Positions 1 and 2 will appear on the
ballot. The Position 3
incumbent is unopposed.
