Current Occupation/Employer: Superior Court Judge, Klickitat and Skamania Counties Education: Graduate of Gonzaga University Law School, Grove City College, Washington State Judicial College, and the General Jurisdiction Program of the National Judicial College. Legal/Judicial Experience: Admitted to WA Bar Association, 1977. Private Law practice, 18 years. Superior Court Judge, 13 years. Family: Married to Bonnie Reynolds, two children, one grandchild. Significant Career Experience: City Attorney for City of White Salmon, 1984-1995. Member of Board of Trustees of Superior Court Judge’s Association 1999-2002. Member of Rural Courts Committee and Criminal Law Committee of Superior Court Judge’s Association. Candidate Statement: Having served as a Superior Court Judge since 1995, I have the knowledge, experience, maturity, and common sense that are necessary requirements for that position. I have made the Superior Court more accessible to the public by implementing a separate court docket for unrepresented persons, instituting mandatory arbitration in certain civil cases, and by creating a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program to allow trained volunteers to represent children in dependency cases. I believe that the people using the court should be treated fairly and their cases deserve to be addressed in an efficient and timely manner. I would appreciate your vote to continue to make this possible. |
